Our 4th annual Mattress Fundraiser is coming up on Sunday, February 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.! All mattresses are made new with full manufacturer’s warranties. Financing, layaway, and delivery are available! We need your help over the next few weeks to get the word out in the community. Here’s how you can help our band and your child.

Help find 2-3 people who need a mattress set and get them to commit to come to our sale on Sunday, February 7th. Most of our sales will come from the efforts of parents and band members who find people who need a mattress.

Go to our Facebook event page, click that you are “going” to the event, and “invite” all your friends. If we have 100 parents, with 100 friends each, we have just reached 10,000 people! Here is the link to our event page.

Earn money! For every referral purchase of a mattress or adjustable base, you earn money toward your child’s account!

  • 1 referral buys a mattress = $25 towards fees
  • 2 referrals buy a mattress = $50 towards fees
  • 3 referrals buy a mattress = $100 towards fees
  • 5 referrals buy a mattress = $200 towards fees

*$50 per mattress after 5 referrals, exception is $25 for a twin.

This summer Matthew Kyle, owner operator of Chick-fil-A of Athens came to East Limestone High School’s Band Camp to share lessons in leadership with students. The lessons which spanned six days included Chick-fil-A’s HEART philosophy.

  • Hunger for wisdom
  • Expect the best
  • Accept responsibility
  • Respond with courage
  • Think of others first

The East Limestone Band is a kid-led organization. Students participate in all aspects of running the band including designing performances, creating choreography, directing, caring for equipment and inventory and teaching one another.

“We accomplished more during band camp this year than we ever have,” said band director, Jennifer “Ms. Sam” Janzen, “and it’s our kid leadership that did that. When we have people from the community come in and share these kinds of lessons with our kids it changes lives. They don’t even know the impact they have on these kids down the road. And it makes my job easier!”
